Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

No, however, I do accept credit or debit cards. I may also be able to provide you with a Superbill [superbills are documents for insurance carriers. They provide detailed, specific information about the services a therapist or other health care provider rendered to a client. They may also provide information about the client’s diagnosis].

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I reserve a small number of slots in my practice to offer at a reduced cost. Please contact me for consideration before your appointment.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes, I offer a free 20-minute consultation for us to discover if we are a good fit.  Research shows the most important factor in clients achieving a desired outcome is the therapeutic relationship.  Therapy is deeply personal and it’s important that you feel comfortable with me.  I encourage you to speak with several therapists to find the right fit for you.  Let’s set up a time to talk, discuss how I can best support you, and see if we are a good fit.

Do you work with children and adolescents (13-17)

No, I am not trained to work with adolescents. I work with adults 18+.

Do you meet in person?

Yes, I have limited in-person availability in my Boulder office and I also provide walk-and-talk therapy (Niwot or Longmont).

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes, primarily on Zoom.

Is your therapy confidential?

Yes, however, I am mandated to report any abuse to minors, elderly or disabled persons, or intent of harm to others.

What is your cancellation policy?

Since I have reserved your appointment time exclusively for you, it is my policy to require a 24-hour cancellation notice or you will be charged for the appointment.  If you believe your cancellation is the result of an emergency, we may negotiate an exception.
